Bio
Sophie is a nature fae creature, guarding and nurturing plants as they grow and bloom. She must watch constantly for birds and other creatures that would mistake her wings for those of an actual luna moth and try to devour her, so she is naturally anxious when passed overhead by large shadows. She's timid and quick to hide herself but also very curious. She is drawn to offerings made by humans to the fae of sugar, lit candles, and other small, shiny objects. She tends to stay around those homes more than those without offerings. She often plays with the children as well, having them chase her around and such. The older a child gets, the less likely she is to appear to them, and will instead conceal herself if they get too close. She does enjoy the company of other fae, and attends their social activities held on the solstices. She is kindhearted and sweet, and would never dream of harming a living thing.
She once had a run in with a fae that was not of this mindset, and went about causing chaos and harm to anything he could. Withering leaves on trees, scaring away the animals, pulling children's hair, and killing the flowers. He once went so far as to try to knock over her human's candle offering, almost setting their house on fire, but the little fae put her foot down, chased the evil fae male away, and quickly brought water from the bird bath over to the flame and extinguished it.
Sophie currently has no significant other, but she does not object to eventually having one. The people of the house helped their children build her a little tree house, that they attached to the branch of a nearby tree, and she has chosen to live in it. Though she sometimes has to shoo away small birds hoping to make a nest inside her house, she does always help them find a new place to build their home.
On full moons, all the fae gather together and hold a monthly...talent show, if you will. They like to show off to each other, trying to be the best and most impressive fae, whether it's through light magic, dance, whatever they can think of. Your new little fae doesn't often participates, for she does not see much use in trying to be better than everyone else. but she does enjoy watching everyone else, and finds it quite beautiful that her fellow fae have such marvelous abilities.
The fae's wings, although they look exactly like luna moth wings, do not damage or break when touched by other things, (how you don't pick up butterflies or moths by their wings because the powder rubs off, ect.) they remain in tact, as she doesn't depend on this dust to fly, though they are quite soft looking any way. Each fae's wings, though not always based off of butterfly's or moths, grow into the pattern they have as adults based on their personality. Sophie is gentle and kind, so hers are luna moth wings. Fast paced fairies could have wings of a dragonfly, while the evil air she met had crooked, claw like wings. It all depends on who they are personality wise, and this wing growth usually occurs after their first 50 years of life (Their life span is extremely long, so they try to not get too attached to humans/animals, two things that My little fae has accidentally done whoops)
